The Tokumoto Kuyada Sites are from settlements dating from between the 14th and 16th centuries. Residential areas separated by ditches were discovered. In the residential areas, dwellings with posts dug into the ground, tateana (pit-type) sites, and pits were discovered. The areas were systematically segmented by ditches.
Since rare ceramics made in China were excavated, the sites were thought to be part of the residence of a rich landholder.
