Go Elementary School was built in Tanaka Village in 1876.
After the Pacific War in 1947, a junior high school was attached to the elementary school. In 1951, the junior high school was moved to Matto Town. In 1962, Go Elementary School became a part of Nonoichi Elementary School. There is a stone monument to show the original site of Go Elementary School.
